First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stericycle.
Sales Support Representative
I was connected to this opportunity by a recruiter with AppleOne Recruiting. Before moving forward with an interview, I made it clear to both parties that I had pre-planned time off in the spring and asked for assurance this would be okay. My recruiter confirmed with Stericycle that my time off was okay and would be accommodated. Because of this, I gave my recruiter the go-ahead to set up an interview. The interview lasted about 15 minutes, and I felt like I had sealed the deal about 10 minutes in. My time off request was discussed during the interview, and I was given the go-ahead by my interviewer. Afterwards, I was offered the position and accepted it the same day. However, I ended up declining the role a few days later after the company went back on my time off request and the advertised pay. The advertised pay was between 55k and 65k, but there was no mention of starting at a lower, hourly rate for the first 90 to 120 days. Also, I was told my time off request would not be honored and no time off would be granted within the first 90 to 120 days. This was non-negotiable and came out of nowhere. Since the company wasn't honest about these crucial details, I declined the position within a few days of being hired and never showed up for training.

Sales
The interview process had 3 parts. First, I spoke with the recruiter, then the DSM, and finally the ASM. It was a great process. Questions were about success and knowledge of sales. If you are a strong candidate they will move quickly to bring you on.
- Can you tell me about your past successes?
- What is your understanding of sales?
Inside Sales Representative
First, I had a phone call, then an in-person interview through Aerotek. After that, I had a face-to-face interview with the company, meeting with two managers. It was a little nerve-wracking, but they were friendly, professional, and informative. I really appreciated getting the opinions of two managers to get a good overall view of the company. They let me know within a couple of days that I got the job.
- Given my lack of prior inside sales experience, what are your reasons for recommending me for this role?
