Industrial Designer
So, initially, the interview process was pretty standard, with an HR call, then meeting one team member, then another team member, and finally the whole team. But towards the end, they mentioned it could take up to a month to sort out an offer, which I wasn't willing to wait for.
- Are you able to work effectively on your own?
Designer
Got an assignment before the interview. The assessment criteria scoring is clear and there's a percentage for the score, so you know what to focus on for the presentation. The presentation is heavily weighted on the storyline, followed by research papers from their company. The presentation happens after an hour-long AutoCAD test. There's a 10-minute Q&A after the presentation.
- What was your motivation for selecting this particular research for your presentation?
Industrial Designer
It was a well structured process. They were friendly, transparent, and professional. There were multiple face to face interviews. They showed us their working environment and explained the role in detail, which was very interesting. I really enjoyed the process, even though they didn't hire me in the end.
- Why are you interested in Steelcase?
- Could you walk me through one of your recent projects?
- Tell me about a time you made a mistake and what you learned from it.
