Product Manager
The interview process was pretty standard for a product manager role in this industry, just like they laid out in the discovery phase. I only went through the discovery interview and the first round.
- Given a backlog packed with 'critical' features, a founder who constantly introduces new ideas, and important customers requesting custom integrations, how would you prioritize what not to build?
Technical Product Manager
The interview involved some basic AI questions, digging into product development and strategy, a hands-on deep learning part, Python coding, how to handle stakeholder relationships, and covering LLMs, crypto concepts, and general software dev fundamentals.
- What's your approach to building a product?
Product Management Director
So I had this interview at this really cool company, and it was great. It started with HR, who were super organized and got back to me fast with clear instructions. When I got there, the receptionist was nice, and the interview panel, who were senior folks, seemed really interested in me. They asked good questions that let me show off my skills and learn about the company's vibe. They really cared about whether I'd fit in and work well with the team, not just if I knew my stuff. They also gave me plenty of time to ask my own questions about the company and my career path there, which was awesome. After the interview, HR kept me in the loop, and everything moved along quickly. It was a really positive experience overall, and I'm hopeful about joining them.
- Tell me about a time you made a product roadmap to meet business goals. What were the hurdles and how did you succeed?
- How have you worked with teams like engineering, design, and marketing to launch a product? How did you handle disagreements and get everyone on the same page?
- How do you keep users in mind when building products? Give an example of when user feedback changed a product decision and how you balanced that with business needs.
