Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Steadily.
Insurance Agent
The interview process included several interviewers, starting with the recruiter, then the manager, and finally the CEO. There was also an opportunity to shadow an employee and ask them questions about the day-to-day responsibilities. It's a pretty extensive process that takes a few hours, but they do let you know about that beforehand. The main goal is for you to learn about the company to ensure you can handle the job effectively.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
Insurance Agent
The interview process starts with a recruiter call, then a chat with the sales manager, followed by a meeting with a company founder. The final stage is an onsite visit to experience the daily life of an insurance agent. They're really open about the job and training. You need to be able to sell insurance and know about most insurance products to be considered. They have a huge volume of inbound leads, more than I've seen elsewhere. The pay is great, and you get equity too.
- How do you stack up against your colleagues in your current role?
Insurance Agent
Apply online and get an email for a Zoom interview. First, you'll go over your resume and then do a screen share. The interview process has about 4 rounds, including a role-play and a 4-hour shadow session. I didn't have time for all of this just for an interview. It's a startup less than a year old, so I'm iffy on job security. It's probably a great job for someone fresh outta college. They also mentioned you'd be working 60-hour weeks. I can't commit to that because I have a family. Maybe down the road in a few years if the company makes it?
- What systems have you used before?
- Would you be alright with working 60 hour weeks?
