First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at STC Direct.
Sales Representative
I applied online and a few days later an HR person contacted me to talk about the position. Then I had to do a video interview with pre-set questions. The next day, HR called again to give more details and invited me for a second interview and job shadow. In the second interview, I went to a retail location and spent about an hour with a top person, who explained what a typical day looks like and discussed growth opportunities. I was impressed they were upfront about the door-to-door sales aspect, unlike other places that misrepresented the role to get me in the door. Overall, I was pleased with the interview process and understanding of the job with STC Direct.
- What is a goal you must achieve in the next 10 years?
Sales Representative
I only got through the initial interview phase because the role wasn't quite what I was looking for, but overall it was a really good experience. Everyone from the first call to the interview was super friendly and easy to chat with, and things moved pretty fast. The first interview itself was also quite brief; it was mainly an info session where the managing partner talked about the company and its business.
- What is most important to you in your career?
Sales Representative
It was bizarre, we didn't stay in the office we went to Starbucks and then to Walmart to see what I would be doing. The job wasn't really what I thought it would be based on what I was told over the phone before the final interview.
