Got an email to set up an interview. It was downtown in the rec room for about 30+ minutes with the Manager and supervisor of Creative Services. They said they'd be in touch. Then, I was contacted for a second interview at their office again, this time with the General Manager of the department. I also had to do an assessment/test in Adobe Acrobat to check my skills. Got the job offer about two weeks later, I think.

I had a chat with the recruiter, then an interview for one role was cancelled. After that, I interviewed with the GM for a different role. Things got a bit slow in terms of communication, but everyone was nice and easy to talk to. It was a good overall experience, though I wish there had been better follow-up.

So I applied in person and a few days later they called me to come in. I then met with the department manager and two other managers (one being the GM) at the restaurant. After that, I had an interview with the director — who's the boss of several Starr GMs — at corporate HQ. They don't ask any trick questions, but they do like candidates who have experience and presence.

Behavioral Case

I interviewed with management for a restaurant opening. The environment they set up was very comfortable, and the whole process felt really streamlined. What could have been a long day was actually pretty simple. I met with a panel of management and they asked me personal and professional questions. Some questions were clearly tests, like what wine I'd recommend with a specific dish. It was all very straightforward, and the vibe was friendly.
