I spoke with 3 people for this role. All 3 chats happened on the same day. The first chat was with a junior person, the second with someone more experienced, and the third with the VP.

I got an initial call from HR to talk about the job. They asked standard questions like 'tell me about yourself', 'what's 15% of 20', and 'why media?'. Then, a few days later, I was invited for an in-person interview. There, I met with four people from Spark who were at different management levels. The interviews felt very repetitive, with each person coming into the room one after another. While two interviewers were quite friendly, the other two seemed unhappy to be there and didn't seem to like interviewing me at all. The final person I spoke with was a VP, and she was intimidating. She asked really tough questions. Even though I had prepared for a few days and practiced with media and HR friends, this VP's questions felt like she was grilling me and testing me with very difficult questions. It was surprising because it's an entry-level job. The first three interviews were standard behavioral questions, but the last one was very difficult and specific. My advice is to stay relaxed and not get nervous. Practice all sorts of behavioral questions and make sure you can provide specific examples.

So the interview process had two rounds. First, a phone screening with a mid or senior manager, mostly asking about your background and how you'd fit into the Starcom culture. Then, there were three separate in-person interviews with different management levels, where they asked tough questions about media knowledge, management skills, leadership, and communication.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about a time you had to complete a task without all the necessary information, and how you managed to find a solution despite that.
