Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at STAR Education.
Instructor
I first spoke with someone at a job fair tent about the organization. I left my contact info and resume, and then they reached out to me for an interview at their main office.
- Do you have previous experience working with children?
- What attracts you to Star?
- What qualities do you possess that make you suitable for this role?
Teacher
Got a phone call first from HR and the site director. Then I met with the two directors at their place. It was a relaxed interview and they seemed keen on learning about my personality and work background. I had to bring my college transcripts since credits are needed for this job.
- Will you find it difficult to adapt to the teacher position?
Instructor
It took about a week from applying to getting the interview scheduled. The interview itself was a group interview in front of a bunch of people. They asked a lot of situational questions to see how well you handle kids.
- What is your prior teaching experience?
