First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stanley Black & Decker.
Supply Chain Intern
It was pretty simple, just three rounds. All the interviewers were nice and knew their stuff. Lots of behavioral questions and required quick thinking. No actual supply chain questions were asked.
- What is a leadership weakness you possess?
Supply Chain Analyst
I applied on May 3rd and heard back the next day from a recruiter for a phone interview that same week. After that, I had an on-site interview on May 19th that lasted about 3 hours with 6 people. It was a bit weird because the hiring manager didn't make eye contact, and only two of the six interviewers asked most of the questions, even though they were also Supply Chain Analysts. I expected the hiring manager to ask more, but he was too busy avoiding eye contact. I didn't hear anything back after the interview until I emailed the recruiter on 6/13 asking for an update. I got an instant reply from an automated HR email saying they chose someone else. I thought their follow-up was pretty rude and unprofessional.
- How do you handle coworkers who are difficult to work with?
Demand Planner
I applied online and about three weeks after, the HR recruiter called me for a phone screening. She was nice and professional and asked some standard questions. She mentioned she'd let me know the following week if I was moving on to the second round. The following week came and went without any word, so I followed up. She didn't reply for four weeks. When she finally responded, she said I wasn't selected for the Financial Analyst interview. This was odd because I never applied for or interviewed for a financial analyst role. I assumed I wasn't selected after the long silence.
- What makes you want to leave your current job or company?
