First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stanley Black & Decker.
Senior Project Manager
I went through a screening interview for the Senior Project Manager role. I was actually referred internally and was super qualified, but after the screening call, the internal recruiter just ghosted me. No replies to my follow-up emails.
- Can you describe your current role and responsibilities?
Digital Project Manager
So this was a remote contract role, and I think the team was remote too. The interview process was pretty straightforward. I was referred by a preferred partner. I interviewed with three team leads and unfortunately didn't get the role, but honestly, they were some of the best people I've ever interviewed with in my 30+ years of experience. They asked really thought-provoking, fair questions. They were in the middle of a divisional re-org, so they knew exactly what they were looking for, even though they mentioned the overall direction was set, but the specifics were still being figured out. Whoever gets this role will do great if they decide to take it. I wish the whole team the best!
- Can you share an instance where a team member struggled to meet deadlines and describe the actions you took to address it?
Project Manager
Stanley Security Solutions had an interview that felt pretty relaxed and straightforward, but still kept a professional vibe. They went over the job duties in detail and gave me a chance to share my background.
- As a project management intern, what contributions could you make?
