Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stanley Black & Decker.
Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone screen, and then I had a virtual interview. Everyone I interacted with was really nice, and scheduling was a breeze. I received an offer after finishing the virtual zoom interview.
- Can you share an experience where you had to negotiate something?
Intern
First, there was a phone call to get a general idea of your experience. Then, about a week later, we had a video call interview because of the pandemic with two people, which was way more formal and we had to talk more about your experience.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- Describe a situation where you collaborated with others.
- How did you approach and resolve problems?
Intern
The interview had behavioral questions like "tell me a time when you did x." They didn't ask anything about my resume. Mostly technical questions, like an oral accounting test. I met with two sets of interviewers for 30 minutes each.
- What's an accounting subject you know well?
- Can you share an instance where you did x?
- Tell me about a subject in accounting that you are very familiar with.
