I have only had an interview, I haven't heard back from them yet. It's been 2 months and they are still deciding if they want to hire me. I've also heard that others who applied to Standard Bank are experiencing the same thing; they just have a really long feedback loop.

First I had to do the odessy assessment then the hackerrank one. After that, I had an interview with a panel with managers from 3 business units. It was 30 min long and mostly behavioural questions.

I applied on Linkedin and got a call for an interview for their Postilion team. I interviewed with a technical lead and two other engineers. They asked a lot of questions about the Postilion product and my background, like what Postilion components I've worked on, what I've built, how I'd handle production issues, and my career goals. A few weeks later, I had to take two IKM assessments, one for Java and another for problem-solving (like finding the next pattern in a sequence). It's been over a month since the last assessment and I haven't heard back, which I think is pretty rude. They should at least let me know the outcome, even if it's a rejection, since I invested time in the interview and tests.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Tell me about your experience with Postilion.
  • What have you developed specifically?
  • Describe how you would handle particular production scenarios.
