So, I got referred by someone who works there, and then a recruiter hit me up for a phone interview. It was like 15-20 minutes, just chatting about my background, what I'm looking for salary-wise, and if I knew what the job and company were about. It seemed to go okay, and the recruiter said I'd talk to the hiring manager. But then, before I could talk to the hiring manager, the recruiter circled back and said they noticed I didn't have a bachelor's degree, and it's a strict requirement, no exceptions, no matter your experience or skills.

The hiring process was over 3 interviews. 2 phone interviews and 1 face to face. The first interview was with the hiring Manager (phone), Recruiting Manager (phone) and the the Regional Director (face). The whole process was within 2 weeks. I get the impression that this is not typical, I think they really needed to fill this position fast. Overall easy process

My interactions with a recruiter and another manager were pretty easygoing. However, I wish they were more mindful of my time. The recruiter, in particular, seemed to lack follow-through and wasn't always prepared. Meetings were sometimes missed or double-booked. When a meeting was missed but still happened, the conversation felt disorganized, off-track, and didn't flow well. This gave me some pause.

Stan Johnson Co. really cares about finding people who fit into the company culture, and their interviews show it. I met with different people from various departments, and their questions were mostly about getting to know me and seeing if I'd be a good fit. They did ask about my experience and background too. The whole process took a while, but it worked out great because I love working with everyone here. The hiring manager was always on time for calls and kept me informed. SJC does a good job of picking candidates, which is good for the company.
