Got two interviews, first online then in person with the team. After that, there was an HR interview and a reference check. Finally got an offer. The whole process took about two months. Since it's a hospital, a flu shot is mandatory for onboarding.

The first interview was with HR, and it was quite unprofessional with a lot of background noise. The HR person kept interrupting to speak with others. I explained my requirements for schedule and location, and she accused me of having an attitude. After a few standard questions, she reiterated that my attitude was a problem and that my advancement depended solely on her discretion. I apologized. She continued to emphasize my need for the job. Despite my concerns that my application would be discarded, she contacted me a couple of weeks later to schedule a second interview, this time being very polite. I declined the offer. I question whether her supervisors at Stamford Hospital review her performance, as I hope the hospital is better than that experience suggests.

The HR person was knowledgeable and asked good questions. The staff member the job reported to did not seem all that engaged. Perhaps, it was just an off-day. Another factor was that it became quickly apparent that I was overqualified for the position. The headhunter they used completely ghosted me so I received no feedback. Very unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company that hired them. That is my biggest gripe, which made the experience unpleasant and which contributes to my neutral review. As a senior level exec, I would never use an executive search firm that treated people this way.

After submitting the necessary paperwork and if the facility is interested, an interview is arranged with an HR representative. This initial interview usually takes around 20 minutes. Following that, you'll meet with the manager of the specific department or floor you've applied for, in an interview lasting about 20-30 minutes. After meeting the manager, a quick tour of the unit will be provided.
