The interview process felt really well-organized and thorough, but not crazy compared to other research roles I've seen. I liked that it started with a phone screen where they really laid out the process, talked about salary, and company culture. I barely spoke on that 30-minute call, but it was good, informative, and matched what they said would happen. After that, there was a 1-on-1 with the manager, a presentation of my past research, a panel interview where I tackled a hypothetical Stack research problem, and then a final meet-and-greet with a senior leader. The whole thing took a bit over a month, but that was partly my fault because I got sick and had to reschedule, and they were really cool about it.

I was ghosted after 2 rounds with Stack Overflow. Just wanted to warn everyone about their unprofessional behavior. First was a 30 min phone call with HR/ops. Second was a 1-hour Zoom with a dept. head, which seemed to go well. They said there was a technical issue submitting my feedback but would be in touch. Never heard back. I followed up multiple times over 2 months and got no response.
