I applied online and got a call about 3 weeks later from the department manager. She was really nice and set up an in-person interview on the department floor. It lasted about an hour. She asked me to share my background and journey into nursing. She was understanding and asked follow-up questions. I felt really comfortable. At the end, we toured the facility, and she offered me a chance to observe, which I'm doing next week. Coming from a big hospital system, St. Vs felt like a smaller place, which I liked.

It was a panel interview in the conference room with the manager, charge RN, and a seasoned RN. It felt pretty informal and lasted about half an hour. They talked about my experience and gave me details about the position. After that, we took a tour of the unit.
