& Process

The interview process had 3 rounds. First was a phone screen with the hiring manager. Then, a take-home technical assessment where I had to design and implement some features in an app. Finally, an all-day onsite interview meeting the team and people from the department.

The interview process involved a phone interview which was an hour long, followed by a full-day in-person interview. Most of the team members I met with did not provide much information about themselves, making it hard to tell if they were technical or not.

So I had this Senior Software Developer I role, which was Engineering focused. The interview had 2 stages, first telephonic and then onsite. A manager called me a few days prior to set up the telephonic interview. The tech person on the phone asked me about frameworks, design patterns, and DBMS concepts. After that, I was invited for an onsite interview. The onsite was a full day event with 3 stages. Stage 1 had two online exams, one for Java and one for Spring 3.0, which were like certification exams and I did pretty well. Stage 2 was a Manager and Leadership Interview, where they wanted to check my problem-solving skills, attitude, how I handle stress, and technical challenges. A Director asked me questions about DBMS, and this chat lasted for an hour. Stage 3 was a Tech Interview with the whole team asking questions about technology and challenges. I also had to provide a design for a specific problem.
