First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at St. Joseph's/Candler Health System.
Registered Nurse
It was a one-on-one interview with the unit nurse manager. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, and the nurse manager was very professional. This wasn't a panel interview, which would have made me more nervous than I already was in a one-on-one setting. The nurse manager gave me a tour of the unit, introduced me to the staff, explained the scheduling process, and discussed the required computer training and resources for help. Overall, it was a pleasant and welcoming interview.
- Have you ever dealt with a challenging patient or family member, and if so, how did you manage the situation?
Registered Nurse
It was a one on one interview, not stressful at all. They asked me to describe a stressful situation I had with a patient and how I handled it. Also, I had to describe 2 of Candler's mission that are most important to me and why.
- What are your reasons for wanting to join Candler?
- Can you describe a challenging patient encounter and your approach to resolving it?
- Which two of Candler's missions resonate most with you, and what are your justifications?
Registered Nurse
The manager was easy to talk to and very nice, making me feel comfortable. They seemed enthusiastic about upcoming changes, although these changes ultimately did not materialize.
- Can you introduce yourself?
