First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ST Engineering.
Mechanical Design Engineer
The interview started with some questions about my previous projects and skills. It was a pretty chill and laid-back conversation. The interviewers were really nice and easy to talk to. The questions weren't too tough, and I felt like I could answer them well.
- What are your thoughts on FEA?
Mechanical Engineering Intern
It was a face-to-face with one interviewer. I was asked to introduce myself and talk about past projects to give an overview of my skills. Then, they asked about what I hoped to gain from this internship and what I'd do with the skills learned. It was a great, 2.5-hour interview, not too technical, more of a 'get to know you' session, with one short technical question about solving an engineering problem. They mentioned I was a good fit due to my experience, willingness to learn outside my comfort zone, and being Singaporean (needed for defense work). They said they'd follow up in two weeks but it's been a month, and I haven't heard back or received an official rejection on the university portal, so my experience is neutral.
- Can you introduce yourself and share your knowledge about ST Engineering's focus?
- Could you explain how you would approach solving the given engineering problem?
- What are your goals for this internship?
Mechanical Design Engineer
after applying online, they looked at my resume and gave me a call about whether I would be open to other jobs besides a Mechanical engineer. They also told me to come in for an interview about 1.5 months after I applied, where I met with someone from HR and another senior person from one of the departments.
- Why do you believe you are a good fit for the position you applied for?
