First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SSE.
Graduate Engineer
So first they looked at my CV. Then I had to do a personality test and a multiple choice test. If I passed those, I had a video interview with some questions. If they liked me, then I was supposed to go to an assessment center. But they cancelled it last minute and didn't hire anyone, so I didn't even get to do the assessment center part.

Graduate Engineer
applied online, filled out many questions, submitted CV. Then an online test with logic and numerical questions. After that, an online interview followed by an assessment center which included behavioral questions, situational questions, and a presentation. The whole process took about 2 months. Unfortunately, after the interview, I was informed that my application was withdrawn due to sponsorship visa issues, even though I had already spent an hour and a half on the interview. It was quite confusing.
- What made you decide to apply to this particular company?
Graduate Engineer
Submitted an online application with my CV and answered some questions about why I applied and my motivations. Then I did some online psychometric tests (verbal, numerical, abstract). After that, I had a recorded video interview. I was then invited to an assessment centre which included a group exercise, a 10-minute presentation I had to prepare beforehand, and a 2-on-1 competency interview. The staff were really nice and helpful the whole time.
- Can you tell me about a time you made sure something was safe?
