So the interview process usually goes like this: first they screen your resume, then you have a chat with HR, after that it's the hiring manager, then there are some skill or technical tests, and finally you meet with senior leadership. After all that, they do reference checks and then might give you an offer.

The interview involved explaining how to write SQL queries for reports. I was asked about tracking issues in JIRA and to describe automating Zoho workflows. I also had to share an example of resolving a client issue using Zoho. Then there were a bunch of SQL questions: What is SQL and why is it used? What's the purpose of a primary key and a foreign key in a database? How do you write a basic SELECT statement to get data from a table? What's the difference between WHERE and HAVING clauses? Explain the differences between INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, and RIGHT JOIN. How do you use GROUP BY to summarize data? What's the purpose of an index? How would you insert new records using INSERT INTO? Describe how to update and delete records. And how do you handle NULL values in SQL?

It was a thorough process with questions about your specific knowledge in the field and your technical skills. They checked if you knew the basics and could solve problems. They also looked at how you'd use concepts in practice, your understanding of system design, and how you make decisions in real situations. They were good at seeing if you could handle unclear problems, work with other teams, and connect your technical ideas to what the business needs.

So, the whole interview thing for a supply chain manager is a few steps to check if you're good for the job. First, they look at your resume, like, do you have the basics for supply chain, logistics, buying stuff, or managing inventory? If that's okay, then a recruiter or someone from the team might call you to chat about your background and if you're really into the job. Then, you'll probably have an interview, maybe just with the boss, or maybe a few people, where they'll ask you stuff about how you've handled things before in supply chain situations. Sometimes, they'll give you a pretend problem to solve or something to do to see how you work. If you do well, there's another interview, maybe with more people or higher-ups, to dig into your skills more. After all that, they'll check your references, like your old bosses. Then they decide if they want to offer you the job, and you can talk about the pay and stuff.
