Logistics Analyst
It was a 3-round process that took 2.5 weeks, and it went very smoothly. The first round was with a recruiter, the second was a mix of technical and managerial questions, and the third was a panel with the manager, tech lead, and HR head. Having good skills and knowledge beyond your resume is a plus.
- Could you elaborate on the projects mentioned in your resume and how they align with our job description?
- What specific projects have you worked on in the past that are relevant to the responsibilities outlined in our job description?
Training Manager
First, I got this assessment to do. I did it and waited a few weeks. I sent a follow-up email but got no reply, so I figured I didn't make the cut. But then they set up a phone interview. The recruiter was super late, like 15 mins, and talked really fast, seemed like she was in a rush. They're looking for someone to build a training program from scratch but only offering $65k, which isn't going to work for me.
- Can you describe your experience creating training materials and what aspects were involved?
Manager-In-Training
I applied on their website. Got a call from the recruiter for a basic chat about my background. Then, I had a phone interview with a district manager; it was short and just to see if I could hold a conversation and if I had some basic job qualities. After that, there was a panel interview with some really high-up people: VP of HR, VP of Operations, Head Recruiter, and the President. I met the recruiter beforehand, then the 30-minute panel interview, which was more formal and ended kinda abruptly. The next step was meeting a Branch Manager they thought I'd work well with. I visited their branch, they showed me around, introduced me to the team, we had lunch, and then talked about the day-to-day tasks. About two weeks later, they sent an offer, which I accepted right away.
- If you were the Branch Manager, what would you alter about the branch based on your internship experience, and how would you implement those changes?
- What was the reasoning behind your university selection?
- Is relocation a possibility for you?
Financial Analyst
I interviewed with the assistant controller at their Mckinney TX office. He was a friendly guy and we got along well. He asked me about my resume and past experience in public accounting and how it helped my skill set. He explained the role and his vision for the expectations well. I was able to ask him lots of questions and learned they have a 4-day in-office policy with Fridays at home, plus travel to client sites for acquisitions, as they are very acquisition-heavy. I declined due to concerns about their financial health if they don't have acquisitions.
- Can you share a particularly challenging work situation you faced and how you navigated it?
