It was good. Started with a phone screen with an engineer, where they asked about my projects and ran through some basic technical questions. The on-site interview was at HQ. I spoke with the hiring manager, then had another interview for a technical discussion, which involved designing an OO problem on the whiteboard. Afterwards, I had lunch with two engineers where I could ask them questions. Finally, there was another technical discussion about my projects with another engineer, along with some basic C++ questions like what a hash map is and when you'd use one. I understand they now use coding challenges before the on-site, but I didn't have to write any code.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you explain what a hash map is and in which scenarios it would be beneficial to use one?

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

I had a 2-hour interview. It was split into three parts: 30 minutes for behavioral questions, an hour for technical stuff (which was pretty easy LeetCode-level questions, including one on recursion), and then 30 minutes with the hiring manager. There was a recruiter call beforehand, and I think there's a background check and offer after this.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you share an instance where team dynamics became strained?
  • Describe a scenario where team relationships suffered.
  • Tell me about a time when the relationships within a team broke down.

Behavioral Technical Coding

First up was a phone interview, mainly about behavioral stuff. Then they hit me with some technical questions on algorithms. After that, the second interview was all about coding, focusing on data structures and algorithms.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Could you walk me through your resume in detail?
  • What makes you want to work at SRC?
  • Can you code a function to figure out the current state of a Tic Tac Toe game?
