There were 2 phone interviews, one with the recruiter and another with the SOC Director and team lead. This was followed by an in-person interview with the director and team leads. The interview process was formal but also relaxed. They asked standard interview questions and then more technical/job-related questions. They really wanted to make sure my personality would fit well with the team. Technical skills were important, but not the only thing they were looking for. The interview took a little less than an hour and felt more like a conversation between colleagues than a formal panel interview, which made it more relaxed for everyone.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring journey kicked off with a phone chat. They hit me with a bunch of standard questions and some to gauge my general grasp of cybersecurity. After getting through that, I was invited for an in-person interview. During the in-person, I met with three interviewers who dove deep into my background, what sparks my interest, my technical chops, and my future career goals. They mentioned they had a few more interviews to conduct before making a decision. Unfortunately, I didn't end up getting the job.

We started with a phone screen, then had multiple interviews including one-on-one and group panels. It was a good process overall, covering technical questions, logical questions, a skills review, a personality quiz, and an IQ test. We also had to do a presentation, drug test, background check, and clearance check.
