The interviewer was rude. They didn't turn their camera on and I could hear them typing while I was thinking. I was asked 2 probability questions, then some questions about my CV, and then some questions about liquidity, order book, and spread evolution during the day.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • If we toss a coin 5 times and get 3 heads, what is the probability that we chose the biased one, given that we have a biased coin (P(H)=2/3) and a fair coin?
  • What is the expectation of the number of intervals, where an interval is defined as a block of cards with the same color from a deck of 52 cards (26 red, 26 black)?
  • Could you answer some questions about your CV?

Technical Other

It felt like a free consulting session because the interviewer was technical but seemed to lack knowledge in the market they were researching for quant ideas. Two of my colleagues had the same experience. It's probably not worth your time as they likely won't follow up.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain how you approach this?
  • How would you go about doing that?
  • Which data sources do you typically rely on?
