It was a half-day of meetings. There were always two people interviewing me, including the manager, director, and VP, as well as other engineers. It was a video conference because several people are based in either Tulsa, OK or Kansas City, KS. They have questions that may get asked several times as the groups of 2 switch off.

Behavioral

The communication was fast and efficient, with quick feedback provided a few days after the interview. The only hiccup was a slight schedule change from what was initially proposed, which is understandable for fast-paced companies. The interview questions were mostly standard behavioral questions, with some tailored to my resume experience. There was a strong focus on communication, teamwork, and product knowledge. I spoke with HR on the same day and got quick answers to my questions about benefits, training, and future opportunities. It was a positive experience overall, allowing both me and SPX to get to know each other. Even though I didn't receive an offer, they handled the process professionally.

The interview process kicked off with a phone interview lasting about 45 minutes. They asked general questions. After that, SPX moved me into a formal interview process. I went to their office and met with a few current employees. I was asked behavioral questions about my past work and leadership experience. It was cool meeting different people because I got a feel for the company and the employees' personalities.
