Sales Development Representative
The interview process was pretty long and more involved than other interviews I've been through. In the end, I decided the job wasn't really for me because I'm looking for a role that doesn't involve as much cold-calling.
- Can you share an instance where you failed to meet a specific metric?
- Tell me about a challenge you faced at work and your approach to overcoming it.
- Describe a situation where you had to collaborate with a difficult colleague.
Sales Development Representative
The interview process started off pretty smoothly and easily. Then came the presentation interview, which was the final stage. Unfortunately, a few things happened that were very unprofessional and kind of off-putting. For starters, I showed up 30 minutes early. The recruiter was nowhere to be found and didn't show up to get me set up for the presentation until 10 minutes after the interview was supposed to start. During the whole presentation, the Director had absolutely no reaction on their face, and neither did the other employees I interviewed with, even though we'd had great conversations before. They didn't seem interested in anything I was saying. Honestly, the presentation was EXTREMELY unprofessional on THEIR part! I took time off from my current job and spent a week preparing and putting this presentation together. It was a complete waste of my time. Also, I never got a response after sending a Thank You email follow-up to anyone I contacted, or the recruiter. It was incredibly rude. At the very least, show some professionalism and decency to acknowledge the time a candidate you're interested in invests in you and your company.
- What makes you the right candidate for this role?
Sales Development Representative
Got referred by someone I knew, and talked to current employees which made me super excited about the company. Then the recruiter called me and asked some basic stuff about my background and why I want this job. After that, I went to the office for an in-person chat. Got the offer a few days later.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
- What are some behavioral questions you've faced before?
- How do you handle conflicts?
