First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sprout Social.
Product Marketing Specialist
It started with a phone screen with the recruiter, then a call with the hiring manager. After that, I had to do a pretty big case study, which involved writing a blog post, an email, and some use-case examples. Then, I went in for an in-person interview with the team, which was about 3 hours long and had 3 people interviewing me. The questions were pretty standard "get-to-know-you" type, but the in-person with the hiring manager was about discussing the case study I did, which was tougher as she really dug into it, but I didn't find it too difficult and thought it was mostly common sense. The recruiter was great though, very on top of things and pleasant.
- The hiring manager asked me to elaborate further on my case study with follow-up questions like 'anything else?', 'What would you change?', 'What else would you consider?', 'Would you change this and why?', and 'Walk me through everything.'
- Another interviewer seemed disengaged and didn't have much to contribute, making that part of the interview dull.
Product Marketing Specialist
So the interview process had a few parts. First up was a chat with the recruiter. Then I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, I had an in-person meeting that went on for a few hours with a bunch of important people. To wrap things up, I had to do an assignment and then present it to the same group of stakeholders. They really seemed to be taking their time to make sure they found the right person.
- What's your strategy for tackling research projects?
- Is there a particular way you like to present research findings?
- How do you manage collaborating with people from different teams?
Product Marketing Manager
The communication was great and I enjoyed meeting the team. The super day was well put together and designed. The assignment was enjoyable and I was given sufficient time to finish it. The feedback provided was comprehensive.
- What makes you the right candidate for this role?
