It was super fast, which made me wonder why they needed someone so badly. In about a week and a half, I was done with everything. I applied and within two hours, I got a call for a screening. The next week, I had that screening and then they asked for more work samples, which I sent the next morning. They set up a video call with the marketing director for the day after. After that first video call, they scheduled me for an in-person interview at the end of the week. Before the in-person one, I had a second video interview scheduled for the day before. I had to reschedule that one because of some work stuff, which I think they didn't like. The video interviews were okay difficulty-wise, but talking about the job duties raised some red flags. It sounds like they expect one person to do the work of two designers, plus a photographer and videographer. After the video calls, I went in for the in-person part, which was supposed to have three interviews. I met the CFO first, then the marketing director in person. My chat with the CFO went well, but the next one was really short. It ended when we talked about the job responsibilities and how the company wasn't keen on hiring more people for the amount of work they expected from one person. After that second in-person chat, they walked me out, and I didn't even have the third interview that was planned. The following week, I heard they were going with other candidates.

I applied online and got a call about a week later to set up an interview for a full time shift lead position. When I went in, the manager took me to a small office. She asked pretty standard interview questions and was nice. But, she asked me what I thought about my duties as an associate, and I had to clarify that I applied for a shift lead position. She told me they weren't hiring for shift leads right now, but that she likes to start everyone as an associate first and then see what happens. If a lead position opens up, they offer it to all associates, and you'd have to apply for it internally. She mentioned the part-time role is up to 30 hours and includes benefits, but you don't get PTO or Sick Days until you've been there a year and are full-time. The pay was minimum wage to start. It sounds like a starter job, but I have 5 years of retail/management experience, so I couldn't go back to part-time or minimum wage. I also felt a bit misled when I applied. You should definitely check what job you're actually interviewing for before setting it up so you don't waste your time. No written tests were needed.

I sent my resume and cover letter to jobs@sprinkles.com and got a call back asking if I was still interested. They then asked if I could come in for an interview. During the interview, I had to fill out a quiz to check if I could do some tough multiplication, recall the VP's name, and name 5 state capitals. The interview itself was pretty standard, going over my past job history and duties. Afterwards, the interviewer set up a 'trial day' for me to work for 2-3 hours with a trainer to see if I'd be a good fit. I was told to wear a plain white or brown t-shirt, jeans, and closed-toe shoes. Since I already knew a lot about Sprinkles and their flavors, my trainer covered the basics of taking orders, boxing, stickers, and went over the day's flavors. They really focus on how you interact with customers and how fast you learn. By the end of the short shift, I felt good about everything I learned. The manager then set up my orientation to fill out paperwork and officially become an employee, and then I got hired!

I applied in the store and got an interview scheduled for 2 days later. Before the interview, there was a short written quiz with questions about the VP, states and capitals, the interviewer's name, and spelling. It also had some customer service questions and how to handle situations. The interview itself was pretty easy and normal. Then, I had a Trial Day to see if I worked well in their environment. I wasn't ready for the physical activity and didn't do well, but I might try again later.
