So first step was an online assessment, then I had a behavioural interview. After that, there was a "technical" situational interview where I had to roleplay as a BDR and they evaluated my capabilities and if I'd be a good fit.

Behavioral Technical

I interviewed for a remote senior accountant position. The first round was with an Accounting Manager and the Controller, and it was a very easy-going and friendly chat. Then, I had a second interview with the VP of Finance, who was also really warm and friendly. They told me I was on a shortlist of 3 candidates, but then I received a rejection email about 3 days later. They didn't give any specific criticisms, but they did mention that the maximum salary band of $80k is extremely low for a senior accountant.

Behavioral

I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn about a fully remote position with base salary and commission. I agreed to proceed with the interview process. The initial Zoom call with the recruiter was pleasant. During this time, I was under the impression the role was entirely remote. However, upon researching reviews, I discovered that in-person client meetings were required for local leads, a detail not previously disclosed. When I inquired about the remote aspect, the recruiter confirmed that local client meetings would necessitate in-person attendance. This is a crucial detail to share upfront to avoid wasting candidates' time, especially when they explicitly ask about remote work. Driving to meetings at restaurants does not constitute a fully remote job. Furthermore, the initial interview mentioned a requirement for one reference, which I was prepared for. However, the second interview stipulated that one reference *must* be from a previous manager. This specific requirement regarding the type and source of references was unexpected and not to my liking.

Behavioral Technical

Got an email and after 3 days, they called me to set up an interview. The first one was about 40 mins and they did most of the talking. They asked me some problem-solving questions and also about teamwork because it's important to them. Then, 2 days later, I had an online interview. They went quiet for 11 days and then called to schedule another interview that will have math and logical questions.
