First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sports Direct.
Sales Advisor
I applied online for a Christmas Sales Temp position, and a few days later, I got an email saying I was accepted for an interview. I could pick a date and time that worked for me. They asked me to bring a copy of my CV, passport, and birth certificate. The interview was super quick and they seemed really desperate for someone, as I felt I didn't do my best answering questions, but I got the job right there and then.
- Can you tell me what you know about Sports Direct?
- Imagine you're the only person working the tills and the queue starts growing rapidly. What would you do in that situation?
Sales Advisor
Applied online via their website via Indeed. Went into small back office. Asked a series of questions. The person that interviewed me was very nice and friendly, seems the interviews at SD are quite casual and friendly overall judging by other reviews.
- Tell me why you want to work for Sports Direct.
- What do you know about Sports Direct?
- What do you do in your spare time?
Sales Advisor
Interviewed by the manager who was rude, but the actual questions were straight forward. Just make sure you're loud and enthusiastic.
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
