First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Splash Damage.
3D Artist
There were 3 people interviewing me. Two artists and an art director (who was meant to mostly observe). Art Director ended up pushing quite hard on one topic about learning software at home that was required for work. He wasn't happy that I disagreed with him.
- Would you be willing to learn new software on your own time if it was required for the job?
Lighting Artist
The interview process had 3 sections, each with different interviewers and covering different topics like cultural and professional fit. The interviewers were super friendly and positive, making it feel more like a casual chat with friends than a formal interview.
- Could you walk me through how you create your portfolio pieces?
UI Artist
The interviewer seemed really tired and in a bad mood, like she was just going through the motions and wanted to leave. I've emailed HR for an update but haven't heard back yet.
- Tell me about your weaknesses.
