Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spirit Airlines.
Analyst
It started with a phone interview where they asked about my qualifications and some basic stuff. Then I interviewed with the department manager. They mentioned that if things go well, I'd have another interview with the Director.
- Can you tell me about your current role?
- Could you elaborate on your qualifications?
Pricing Analyst
I applied through Indeed.com. They emailed me to schedule a phone interview. After that call, they called me back the next day to set up an in-person interview. At the in-person, I interviewed with three managers and did a quiz-like activity. The activity involved some simple math and was related to pricing. Then all 3 of the interviewers met with me in a 'panel' at the end, but it was really just going over my activity and wrapping things up. Overall everyone was nice and it wasn't too hard.
- What are Spirit's strengths in your opinion?
- Given a specific market, like New York to Orlando flights, what would you research for pricing?
- Can you name a business or industry with unusual pricing structures?
Analyst
I had a one-on-one meeting with the department manager. They told me about the job and the skills they're looking for. They also asked some basic HR questions, like what I like and dislike about my current job. They mentioned that because it's a low-cost carrier, the salary might not be very high, but they do offer health and flight benefits to make up for it.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict in working style with someone.
- Describe a situation where you encountered a conflict due to differing working styles.
