Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spirit AeroSystems.
Intern
I had an in-person interview at Spirit. It was professional and friendly. They asked about my studies, my skills in electronics and industrial IT, and why I want to do my final project there. I also briefly presented my internship topic and goals.
- Tell me about a technical project you worked on and your part in it.
Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward. I sent in my application online through their website and then reached out to the recruiter by email. I emailed them my resume, and I'd also submitted one with the online application. The recruiter then set up an interview, and after that, I had two phone interviews.
- Can you tell me what Spirit AeroSystems does?
- What about Spirit AeroSystems interests you?
- Tell me about your resume.
Intern
I first saw the company at my university's career fair and got interested. I applied online for the position in September. I heard back from HR around the beginning of November and had a phone interview. They offered me a position in January, which I accepted. The whole process was really smooth, and the company is very professional.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to manage a team member who wasn't contributing their fair share? What steps did you take?
- Which area of engineering are you most passionate about?
