First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spektrix.
Talent Acquisition Partner
I interviewed with Spektrix and they said they really care about hiring fairly. I read their website about changing recruitment and making hiring better, so this job was my top choice. My last video interview was on January 9, 2026, and it's now March 12, 2026, and I still haven't heard anything about the outcome. As a recruiting leader with 7 years of global talent acquisition experience, this was really disappointing. I know hiring can take time, but good communication is super important for a respectful hiring process. I always call candidates to let them know if they aren't moving forward. I don't expect everyone to do it my way, but not hearing back for over two months after several interviews is a really bad look for the candidate experience. It's wild that a company that talks about equitable and thoughtful hiring practices doesn't even give a basic update to people who spent a lot of time interviewing.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working for this company?
Support Specialist
The interview process spanned over two months in early 2025. It started with an online skills assessment. Then, there were two interviews: the first with a manager, and the second was a bit different, involving a quick technical exercise followed by a Q&A with two interviewers. Throughout the process, the interviewers were nice and kept me updated on what was next. But after the final interview, I got totally ghosted, just like others have mentioned. No response at all, not even a rejection email. You'd think after seeing bad reviews, they'd fix their process, but nope, not in my case.
- What makes you want to join this company?
Software Engineer
My experience with Spektrix was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After the first stage, I was left waiting for a week without any updates. When I followed up, they told me the role had changed and they needed to check internally if my skills matched. After chasing them for two weeks, they finally replied, saying they were now looking for a full stack engineer instead of a backend developer. The funny thing is, I'm a full stack engineer, and I made that clear from the start. It's hard to believe they could miss something so basic. Their poor communication and lack of clarity, plus wasting candidates' time on a role they weren't even sure about, really shows their hiring practices are not great. I'd avoid them if you want a company that respects your time and skills.
- Tell me about a project you're proud of that had web integration. What was the goal? What obstacles did you face and how did you tackle them?
- Imagine you need to fix a bug in old code you don't know and it has no tests. How would you proceed?
- If you find a quick fix for a bug that introduces technical debt, what factors would you weigh to decide whether to implement it?
People Advisor
Company reached out shortly after I applied. The interview felt pretty relaxed and the team members I spoke with were great, but they did ask some pretty probing questions. Unfortunately, some absences caused a response delay, and I didn't end up getting an offer as someone with a bit more experience was selected. The talent team was super helpful and let me know via a call, offering good feedback and useful info on other recruitment roles, which was nice.
