Registered Nurse
I applied online and a week later a recruiter called me. She asked some basic things about why I wanted to work for Spectrum and for this role. She then said she'd pass my info to the hiring leader. I got a call from the hiring leader not too long after and we set up an interview with the unit manager. I met with the unit manager and she first asked some basic questions to get a feel for my background. After that, she asked about 10 questions. The answers didn't have to be nursing specific, they could be about any customer/people interaction.
- Can you tell me about a time you encountered diversity?
- What's something people commonly misunderstand about you?
- Share an instance where you exceeded expectations for a customer.
Registered Nurse
The recruiter was very nice and started by asking me about my nursing interests, and progressed to a description of the position and the facility. She asked a few standard nursing interview questions as well.
- Tell me about a time you went the extra mile for a patient or customer.
Registered Nurse
They started with some normal questions and asked what you would do in certain situations. Then there was an initial interview with a talent manager, followed by meetings with individual unit management. They typically give you a tour and the interview is usually just with the manager or the manager and a supervisor.
- If you were in a situation where.... what would you do?
- Name a situation where you were uncomfortable, what did you do to resolve the situation.
- Name a situation where you see someone doing something incorrectly, how do you deal with that situation.
