First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sparrow Health System.
IT Analyst
First, I had to do a 2-hour online IQ/logic test with a proctor watching via webcam, which is apparently a requirement for all IT applicants. After passing that, I had a phone interview discussing my background and interest. Then, a video interview followed to determine my fit, potential team placement, and if there were even any openings. I was rejected via email a week later. They seem to have a generic job posting but don't specify which teams or areas have openings. This month-long process felt like a waste of time, especially after the 2-hour IQ test and multiple interviews, given that there might not have even been a relevant position.
- What makes you want this role?
- Can you discuss your professional history?
Business Systems Analyst
after passing intial screening I was called in to take an Epic skills assessment. After doing well enough on the exam the next step was a phone interview with their regional recruiter. After doing well enough during that interview I was given an in person interview in Lansing with three of their directors.
- Questions relevant to the job were asked.
Systems Analyst
The process felt awkward because I had to take an automated test before I even knew what the job was about or what they were looking for. After passing the test, I was put in a queue for an interview. But just a few minutes into the interview, they pretty much said I wasn't a good fit. It felt like a waste of my time, and I think they also wasted money on the automated test.
- An automated test to assess analytical skills.
