The process started with a phone screening, followed by an in-person interview. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up from HR after the interview. I had to initiate contact three weeks later and was informed they were still interviewing candidates. It's now been three months, and I still haven't heard back, so I'm moving on.

Behavioral Technical

I went through a three step interview process. The first was me speaking with a woman who worked in New York for SMG. They asked a lot about what I knew about the company, so be sure to do your research in this regard. The entire SMG umbrella can be a bit confusing, so I would suggest looking outside of just the website itself. I spoke again later with another woman from the Chicago office who talked more specifically about my background. Finally, I went in and talked to a woman about which departments I would be most interested in. The final interview felt more like a placement than an interview, which was nice. Make sure to be personable. They know you don't have a ton of experiences, they just want to see if you are eager to learn and how well you can communicate.

I had a first phone interview where they asked about my background. Then, I had an in-person interview with two supervisors and two associate media directors. After that, I had individual interviews with each person I met previously. Following the interviews, I stayed in touch, checking in every two weeks for an update. I was hired about 10 months after my interview day.

I had a few interviews, which were really laid-back, and I also completed a writing task. It was a pretty chill process, and I got to meet a lot of the team members, which was great.
