First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SPAR.
Customer Service Representative
They told me to come to their store, but didn't give me super clear directions, just to ask for someone. I was led to a back area to wait. Then, they took me into a tiny room and sat me at a table with two interviewers, one on each side, which was a bit intimidating because I wasn't sure who to focus on. After a few questions, they brought me out to a shelf and just said to 'sort' it, without any real instructions on how. Once I finished sorting the shelf, they asked me a question about meal prep.
- Have you ever worked at SPAR before?
- If a vegetarian family with allergies came in, what meal would you suggest?
- Can you sort this shelf?
Customer Service Representative
It was a quick, brief, and to the point interview. The interviewer was friendly and made me feel at ease even with heavy questioning. It was an instore interview, and I got to look in the back, which honestly smelled a bit due to the poultry area and other things.
- Can you describe an instance where you handled a challenging customer?
Customer Service Associate
It was a very engaging and comprehensive interview process. The employer was really interested in hearing about my background and also shared details about the role. I found the experience quite insightful, even though I didn't get the job.
- Can you discuss your previous work history and experience?
