First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SPAR.
Customer Advisor
Had an online interview with standard retail questions about customer service. It lasted about 15 minutes and I got the offer after 4 days. They asked about my experience with customers and on tills, and also some simple problem-solving questions.
- How would you encourage customers to buy more products?
Customer Advisor
Had an interview in the staff room with the manager and employment manager. The environment was friendly, and I felt comfortable the whole time. The interview included a task where I had to plan a meal for a family of 4 using a brochure they gave me, and they asked me what I would do in certain scenarios, as well as about my retail experience.
- Could you plan a meal for a family of 4 utilizing the provided brochure?
- What would you do in specific situations?
- Tell us about your retail experience.
Customer Advisor
I applied online, and they got back to me right away to set up an interview via email. I got there a bit early, let them know I was there for the interview, and a staff member took me to the room where the interviewer and store manager met me.
- What would you do if a customer complained that the coffee from the machine didn't taste good?
