First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SP+.
Operations Manager
My interview with SP plus started out very positive. The hiring manager told me I was very close to receiving an offer and encouraged me to reach out to him directly after the interview so we could stay connected. He spoke as if next steps were already lining up, which gave me the impression that I was a strong finalist. I followed his request and emailed him a thank you message along with a brief follow up. I never received a response. I reached out again, thinking perhaps the first note was missed. Again there was complete silence. There was no acknowledgement, no update, and no explanation of any kind. There was also no official follow up from the company. Instead of receiving a status update or even a simple reply from the hiring manager, I eventually found out I had not been selected when a former coworker reached out to let me know they had received the offer. Learning this from someone outside the process, rather than from the hiring manager who encouraged me to keep in touch, felt extremely unprofessional and showed a lack of accountability. This experience left me concerned about how SP plus handles communication and how little regard was shown for candidates who invest time and effort. A transparent and respectful process would have reflected much better on the company.
- Could you share details about your background and past work?
Valet
The interview was great, professional, friendly, and engaging. I made sure to be confident, attentive, and respectful, emphasizing my reliability, organization, and customer service skills. The interviewer seemed to appreciate my polite and motivated attitude.
- Do you have experience driving manual transmission vehicles?
Software Developer
The interview process involved several stages. Initially, there were around 7 questions focusing on data structures and algorithms, specifically arrays and strings. There were also some questions related to SQL and a debugging question in Java. It was also emphasized to be well-prepared to discuss your projects. In the technical HR round, they might ask you to create an API using a technology like Express.
- Focus on data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming concepts, SQL, and be prepared to discuss your projects in detail.
Courier
I applied for the Courier/Delivery Driver job in Orlando, FL with SP+ on December 6th, 2024. About six days later, a manager emailed me to set up a virtual interview. I responded the same day asking about the start date and my availability. It's been over a week since then, so I assume they've moved on without confirming or letting me know they filled the position. This employer tends to ghost applicants.
- Could you please provide some dates and times you're available for a virtual interview, along with the best phone number to reach you?
