Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SP Group.
Intern
The interview process was smooth. It was mainly to understand my past projects and experiences, and my fit for the job. The hiring manager talked about the projects I would be working on and the technical competencies needed.
- Tell me about your past projects and experiences.
- What projects and experiences have you had in the past?
- What technical skills are needed for the projects you'll be working on?
Intern
It was a pretty standard interview process. They ask the usual questions, like why you want to join and what you know about the role and the company. For more specialized roles, they ask job-specific questions. They also check if you're okay with the location. The tech test involves some simple logic-based questions asked on the spot. The administrative part of the process takes longer than usual, though.
- Tell us what you know about the company and why you're interested in joining.
- What are your motivations for applying?
- What's your understanding of this specific role?
Intern
I had an interview with 3 people on a panel. One was from HR, one from the Power department, and the other was my manager/supervisor. It was pretty basic and the room was freezing. I also took a personality test before the interview. After the interview, I had to write a scenario-based essay. They seemed to be focused on how I think logically.
- What makes you want to join us?
