There were several stages to the process: An initial getting to know you call, online personality and aptitude assessment, verification of aptitude assessment then a department interview with the hiring manager. A background check is also required.

Behavioral Technical

I was emailed by a Recruiter to schedule a 30-minute phone call. Following that, they assigned me a personality assessment and a cognitive ability test, which took about 30-45 minutes to complete. If those assessments were successful, I then had a Skype interview with the same Recruiter where I had to retake the cognitive assessment, presumably to prevent cheating or the use of a calculator. The math on this test was surprisingly basic, around a 6th-grade level, making the need for such strict monitoring seem odd. After the initial phone call, the Skype interview, the personality assessment, and the two cognitive tests, the Recruiter informed me that my resume would be passed to the Hiring Manager. Essentially, this whole procedure was just a pre-screening phase. A couple of days later, I received a standard rejection email stating they had found more suitable candidates, leading me to believe the Hiring Manager was not impressed with my resume. This recruitment process appears quite unusual and likely narrows their talent pool significantly, particularly for competitive roles. While I'm glad I experienced it to understand different company recruitment methods, I wouldn't recommend it.

After a quick initial response, I was sent an assessment and then a pre-recorded interview a few days later. This was all around the holiday season, but it's now been three weeks with no further communication, even after following up. It feels like a waste of a candidate's time, especially when a simple rejection email isn't sent after completing an assessment and pre-recorded interview. Ghosting candidates appears to be common here, which is ironic for a Recruiting Coordinator role where a great candidate experience is expected, but HR isn't setting a good example.
