First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Southwestern Energy.
Intern
I interviewed at the Houston Student Expo. It was a one-on-one interview. The interviewer started off by giving me a 10-minute presentation about SWN and how the company works. I already knew everything he was telling me because I studied the company in advance. Then he just told me to tell him something about myself. I did, and I was called for a second interview. I met three senior level management for lunch. Two were nice but I could feel a weird vibe from one of them. Needless to say, I didn't get an offer.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Intern
I had a 1:1 interview first, then a call for another interview, but it was cancelled just before it happened. The people were nice and the culture seemed chill, sarcastic, and fun. The internship program seemed a little underdeveloped, but it still seemed like a good company to work for.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
Intern
I applied through university relations and the whole process took less than a week. The interview was geared towards behavioral questions, not very technical, probably because they knew that the students applying did not have direct experience yet. It was a positive experience overall.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
