Behavioral Technical Presentation

After I applied, the hiring manager reached out a few weeks later to schedule a phone chat. It was mostly behavioral questions. A week after that, the same hiring manager asked me to come in person. Originally, they thought about doing it over video because I lived far away, but the manager fought for travel approval so I could fly in. The in-person interview included a presentation about myself, more behavioral and some technical questions, and a short writing task where I had to write a mock email to a difficult contractor.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about a situation where you and your supervisor had different opinions about a work matter.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Other

So, there was a phone screening first, then a phone interview with three employees. After that, we had an in-person interview with the same three people. The screening and the phone interview were pretty standard, asking about my experience and some behavioral stuff. The in-person was a panel with the three of them. They asked me more than 20 questions, I had to do a presentation, and there was a written assignment. The questions were mostly behavioral, and they wanted really specific examples that were tough to recall on the spot, often focusing on the same character traits. The written assignment had confusing directions and no context for the scenario. The presentation topic was also vague and unprofessional, and I had to really think to come up with something.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you give a 5-7 minute presentation about something interesting about yourself?
