I had an initial phone call based on my resume from a job board. They said they had many positions but weren't sure where I'd fit, so they wanted to interview me to see. This is strange since I have industry-specific certifications. They said they have many clients and I could move up based on merit, but it didn't add up to much. Basically, it's cold, direct, door-to-door sales, which I can do, but I didn't like that they weren't upfront about it. They should just say 'you're selling product X door-to-door.' If they're not honest about the job, are they honest about the pay? The products had nothing to do with my resume or experience. It's a good marketing scheme, and some people succeed at it, but I didn't trust how they delivered the information. I'd rather sell Mary Kay, used cars, or life insurance because they're upfront about the job and how it's done.

Behavioral Presentation

They are looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals. The process starts with a 15-minute initial interview to get acquainted, where they gauge your enthusiasm and ask basic questions like "Are you a hard worker?" and "How would your friends describe you?". This is followed by a 7+ hour job shadow where you learn the business, which involves door-to-door sales. This is a key aspect that often surprises candidates. The final interview occurs right after the job shadow, where you present your assessment of the day and explain why you believe you'd be a good fit. The company culture and colleagues are great, but the door-to-door nature of the sales is a common deterrent. However, this isn't permanent; hard work can lead to opening your own office. This particular role wasn't for me due to the door-to-door aspect, which I feel should be more clearly advertised upfront.

Started with a phone call to schedule the interview. Then I had an initial interview in person. After that, I got a call asking me to come back for a full day job shadow. I spent the whole day shadowing someone and we had a really great time! It was shocking how much fun they had every day. Following the job shadow, I was offered the job. I started and found out it was even better once I got into the office in the morning. The environment was super upbeat with loud music playing.
