Support Engineer
They missed our first scheduled time, so I sat waiting for a half hour. After the interview actually happened, they ghosted me and continued to repost the job opp on LinkedIn without ever even telling me if they were going to be moving forward with me or not. As a strong candidate for that job, it was disrespectful to ghost me. They could easily automate an email for cases like this.

Customer Support Engineer
It was a pretty straightforward and transparent process. First up was a screening with the hiring manager where we had a casual chat about my background and how I think. Then, I had a take-home technical assessment. The project involved troubleshooting issues you'd typically see with a containerized web app. After that, there was a technical screen with an Engineer where we dug deeper into my technical background and troubleshooting abilities. Finally, I did a panel interview with other CSE team members. This part involved questions about customer empathy and how I handle time management and prioritization.
- Can you explain the advantages of public cloud to someone non-technical who's considering a move from on-premises?
- Tell me about your background and your thought process when tackling issues.
- Go into detail about your technical background and troubleshooting skills.
Support Engineer
I went through a few 30-minute interviews and a two-hour take-home technical test over the course of two weeks. People from different jobs interviewed me to see how well I'd fit and if I had the right experience. The technical part was about setting things up, fixing problems, and writing down how I'd deal with fake customer issues. The recruiters kept in touch a lot and gave me clear instructions and info about what to expect.
- Tell me about a time you worked on a project with new technologies. What were the challenges, and how did you learn what you needed to know?
