First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SoulCycle.
Receptionist
I had a phone call and then an in-person interview. It felt pretty standard. I'm not entirely sure what they were looking for, given my background running a boutique fitness studio in West Hollywood. I didn't get a response.
- What interests you about SoulCycle?
Receptionist
I met with two really great and positive hiring managers. We just went into their office and it was a super fast process, probably around twenty minutes. They also talked about benefits and salary, and were really open about everything. I got such a good feeling from both of them, and my worries about maybe not being "Soul Cycle" material went away fast when I saw pics of current employees in the break room and they talked about how important building community is.
- Can you share your experience in hospitality?
- What's your approach to dealing with a challenging customer situation?
Receptionist
I sent my resume and had a phone interview with the recruiter. Then, I had an in-person interview with the recruiter and another employee, followed by a second in-person interview with the studio manager. While none of the interviews were particularly tough, I think they weren't thrilled that this job wouldn't be my top priority. They said they'd let me know about the job that week, but I never heard back. I tried reaching out via email and phone for at least a basic rejection, but nothing. It felt rude after a month of communication and three interviews with three different people.
- What's the most challenging aspect of customer service work?
