I had a 2-round interview process with managers that went well, and I received a job offer. I ended up signing with a different company because the offer from Sopra Steria came very late. It's understandable that this can happen, but I later found out that I'm banned from Sopra Steria because they claimed the offer was 'firm and definitive'. It's a funny kind of blackmail, the first time I've encountered this professionally. P.S: I have kept all emails and written correspondence for reference.

First, a 30-minute to 1-hour phone call with general questions, talking about my experiences, and the company, the role, and expectations. Second, a video conference of about 1 hour with a technical lead to discuss more technical aspects of the job, theoretical applications, and hypothetical situations. The HR manager then told me the salary range based on the technical lead's evaluation. I tried to negotiate but asked them to present my profile anyway and keep me updated. The third stage involved sending my profile to the management team at the location for their decision. I had to reach out a few days later to find out I wasn't selected, for reasons different than what HR initially told me.

Behavioral Technical Case

The recruitment process at Sopra Steria is pretty structured, with several steps to check your technical skills and if you fit the company's projects. It starts with applying online, then a first chat with a recruiter to check your motivation, experience, and availability. If that goes well, you'll have one or more interviews with HR managers, operational managers, or technical experts, depending on the job. These interviews might include job-specific questions, case studies, or even technical tests or personality assessments. If your profile is selected, the company will send you a job offer and then start the onboarding process to help you join the team. This whole process is about confirming your skills and seeing if you can see yourself in a collaborative and innovative environment.
