The interview process has three stages. First, there's a casual chat with the hiring manager to assess your capabilities and understanding of the role. The second interview is a technical deep dive with the hiring manager and a sales engineer, where technical questions are asked. A sales director usually joins this stage to evaluate your fit with the sales team and your personality. The final stage involves a presentation on a Sophos product to several senior managers from the Manchester sales team.

I applied through LinkedIn and had a couple of interview rounds. First, I spoke with the in-house recruiter, and then the hiring manager. After that, I didn't hear anything back even though I followed up for a few weeks. Eventually, I got a generic email saying they weren't moving forward with my application. What really gets me is the lack of feedback for candidates. If companies actually told us why we're not selected, we could learn and improve.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a pretty straightforward interview process, just like you'd expect. First up, I had a call with an SE Manager who asked standard questions about my background, experience, and why I wanted the job. Then, the next step was a product demonstration for the SE management team and other stakeholders. Even though they seemed happy with my performance after the interviews, they just ghosted me. No follow-up on the role or any decision. Honestly, it's a mess from a company that talks so much about having a great culture!
